What Causes Fear
Leigh Adams - 3rd August 2009
Fear can be described as a number of things. In my sentiments
it is the feeling of your body completely shutting down when
you are confronted with a particular problem. It does not
matter what that problem is. It could be any of the
following
Fear of flying
Fear of Intimacy
Fear of Driving
Fear of Eating
Fear of the Dentist
Fear of snakes
This list can become endless. When you are confronted with a
fear what are your emotions? Are they any of the following?
Trembling
Shortness of breath
Paralysed down one side or both sides of your body
Palpitations
Loss of vision
Vertigo
Panic
Anxiety
Stress
When you have a fear it is extremely difficult to control.
Especially if you have never felt this way before. Often or not
a fear can come out of the blue from nowhere. Or it could be
that it has been passed on subliminally through years of your
parents or friends fear.
Fear, Stress and Anxiety are all linked on many occasions and
one imbalance generally causes another. So you are stressed, a
fear starts to happen. You are anxious a fear starts to happen
and vice versa.
So the answer to What Causes Fear can be many things and often
unexplainable things which do not ever show any reason at
all.
It is like watching a horror film. We know the bogey man isn’t
real. But we can still have bad dreams. So fear is the same.
Often or not we know that the Fear cannot hurt us but it still
becomes a major problem to us.
