1. Always prepare yourself before you deliver your speech in
public. You can practice in front of your friends and get
feedback on what they think about the delivery of the
speech.
2. Be comfortable with your audience by letting them
introduce themselves first before you start the speech. In this
way, you will have an idea on the personality of your
listeners.
3. Be confident on delivering the statements and message
that you want to point out to your listeners. It is important
that you establish a credible personality to get the interest
of your audience.
4. You may get rid of the fear by paying attention to the
listeners and not to yourself. You may ask questions and let
them ask as well for them to be comfortable with you.
5. Keep your audience awake by asking rhetorical questions
and you have to be provocative to get their spirits alive. You
must maintain eye contact to each listener so that the audience
will not be tempted to fall asleep during the course of your
speech.
6. Be aware of those people that are nodding or frowning
whenever you are addressing a statement. Pay attention to them
and you should be happy on those reactions because you are
creating interesting topics that made them react on some
certain points. This only indicates that they are
listening.
7. Do not be discouraged if some people may disagree with
what you are saying. Remember that they will still respect you
even if you do not share the same opinions. Have the
determination and confidence with whatever point you are trying
to deliver. This is a way to show them that you stand to what
you are saying. About the Author:
